Sunrise at Marais de Sionnet / October 2023
It's 8 a.m. and I'm meeting our 5 guests for a new edition of our nature excursion to the Marais de Sionnet in the Geneva countryside. One of the best birding sites in the canton of Geneva, where it is sometimes also possible to see mammals, amphibians and insects. A place rich in biodiversity.
During these three hours of nature tour at the Marais de Sionnet, we had the privilege of observing around twenty species of birds, including the Water Rail, the Great Spotted Woodpecker, the Northern Shoveler, the Long-tailed Tit and the European Sparrowhawk.
The weather was exceptional, giving us the added bonus of a magnificent view of Mont Blanc. The local vegetation was adorned with stunning fall fruits, adding a touch of splendor to our experience. These are therefore delighted participants to whom I say goodbye at the end of the morning.
