Frequently Asked Questions

How large are the group sizes?

In order to disturb wild animals as little as possible and give you our full attention, we welcome a maximum of 3 to 6 guests during our wildlife tours. The maximum number of guests is indicated on the page of each tour.

What is included in a tour?

We are committed to offering you all-inclusive tours. Thus, guiding, photography instruction, meals, accommodation and transportation during the experience are always included. For the rest, each tour is different. That's why we detail what is included and what is not on the page of each tour.

What do the 3 difficulty levels mean?

Easy
These excursions and tours are made on flat, uneven terrain, and present no difficulty.

Moderate
These excursions and tours require a minimum of physical condition. It is about being able to do short hikes with difference of height of 50 to 400 meters per day.

Difficult
These excursions and tours require good physical condition. You have to be able to hike all day, sometimes in difficult weather conditions. The difference in height is between 400 and 1500 meters per day.

Do you take care of my flights?

No, we do not book your flights for you. Most of our tours include everything once you reach our meeting point, but you are still in charge of getting there.

Are the tours open to non photographers?

Of course! Our tours are open to everybody, whether you are a wildlife photographer or not. You can simply come with a pair of binoculars to watch wildlife. For wildlife photographers, we have created trips specially dedicated to wildlife photography that you will find in our “Photo Tours” section.

Is the donation compulsory?

Yes. Salva Fauna is as much about conservation as it is about pleasure. Our mission is to educate our guests and take concrete action to save wild animals. Thus, we systematically give 10% of the profit from our excursions and tours to an association fighting for nature conservation.

Do you offer photography gear rentals?

Yes. Let us know what you need, and we'll take care of it. The rented equipment will be delivered to your home before departure. Also, our photography guides are happy to lend their own equipment for a while if you want to try out a different camera, lens or tripod.
