Gran Paradiso Wildlife / Private tour with Greg and his family

We start this private wildlife tour in Gran Paradiso with our guests in the middle of the morning to reach a mountain refuge. We have been walking for barely 5 minutes and there are already 2 adult Golden Eagles skirting the cliff in the middle of more than 50 Yellow-billed Choughs. Suffice to say that this family trip started off very very well! Especially since it was the first sighting of a Golden Eagle for Greg, his wife and his son!

We continue our hike and on the way we find hairs on some trees that Alpine Ibex left in the spring during their molting period.

We are on the right track. We stop for a while in order to enjoy a great pique-nique and find our first marmots.

The weather begins to cloud over and the air cools down. A little before arriving at the refuge we spot a Chamois. Greg and I try to go and take a closer look. On a private family trip, we always adapt as much as possible to each individual's needs, so that everyone has a good time. Those who still want to explore and those who also want to rest :)

We let the Chamois get used to our presence and we observe him for a while.

He will very quickly be joined by other Chamois. Including a rather curious one who approached only a few meters from us. Magic!

We photograph these Chamois and marmots until dinner. We enjoy a very nice and warm meal in the refuge, and in the evening we observe some lightning from inside.

The next morning, departure at 6 am for Greg and me. We hope to photograph some Chamois at sunrise. Very quickly I spot a small group of about 10 individuals.

We stay with them and enjoy the sunrise. We then go back down to the refuge at around 8 am to have our breakfast and meet the rest of the family.

Once everybody is full of energy and ready to explore, we leave to join a group of Alpine Ibex spotted earlier. The whole family can enjoy exceptional closeness to these Alpine Ibex. A beautiful encounter with wild animals in the heart of nature is a memorable moment for everybody.

We stay with them for our picnic and rest with them. Hiking in the mountains is tiring for everybody!

We descend into the valley in the middle of the afternoon, delighted with this superb tour spent in full immersion in nature, and punctuated by extraordinary encounters, both human and wild.
